Issue V of the 2004 REM, "Sovereignty and the Citizen Ship" explores that edge between the Sovereign as individual and that dynamic collectivity of Sovereigns, known as Citizens, in sometimes mighty Citizen Ships, who abridge their Sovereignty (or have it abridged) to varying degrees and are bound through affinity, contract, geography, or fiat into chunks - groups/sets/classes - that move through our multi-dimensional world like schools of willful, visonary fish.
